Welcome Neighbors

The Doe Bay Water Users Association (DBWUA) is a nonprofit, member-supported water system founded in 1948 by neighbors working together to secure a reliable water supply for the Doe Bay community. Today, we continue that legacy by providing clean, safe, and dependable drinking water drawn from Mountain Lake in Moran State Park.

DBWUA is governed by a volunteer board and supported by licensed water professionals and partner organizations who manage system operations, maintenance, testing, and regulatory compliance. Our commitment is to responsible stewardship, clear communication, and long-term reliability for all members.

About Our System

DBWUA provides drinking water to the Doe Bay community using a protected, high-quality freshwater source known for its stability and consistently strong treatment results. Mountain Lake, located within Moran State Park, is a secure upland reservoir surrounded by forested watershed lands, which helps naturally safeguard water quality before it reaches the treatment process.

Water is treated and tested regularly to ensure it remains safe for all members and meets all Washington State Department of Health standards.

Since 2022, we have partnered with Eastsound Water for licensed daily operations, including system monitoring, testing, and routine maintenance. DBWUA continues to be a locally governed, member-supported nonprofit while benefiting from professional on-island expertise.

DBWUA is member-supported. When in doubt, reach out. We’re here to help.
